Superman wasn’t meant to be so unmanageably obese

A 2012 report by the British Government claimed that by 2015 obesity will have cost the NHS £6.4 billion per year.

The below two posters tackle obesity in a humourous manner, using compelling visual imagery to nudge people to alter their sedentary habits.

The first, by the Portuguese Ministry of Health (website) encourages people to get off their chair or risk becoming part of it.

The second, by Active Life Movement (website) targets children and teenagers.  Superman was never meant to be so unmanageably obese – and if you don’t want to become like him, get off that armchair, switch off the tv, put away that ice-cream and run out and do something active.
